Privacy policy

Draw and Learn is a learning website (drawandlearn.in) and an Android app for young children, made by yourapps.in. It is meant to be set up by a parent, a teacher or another grown-up. This policy covers both the website and the app.

What we keep, and why

Who can see it

Children and consent

Draw and Learn is for children, used with a grown-up. A parent or guardian signs in. In the app, the parts meant for grown-ups (signing in, sharing, deleting the account, opening websites) first ask a sum a small child cannot answer; on the website, adding family members and sharing do. Students who take an online exam do not sign up and are not asked who they are, so we hold no personal data about them. We collect only what is needed to run Draw and Learn, and we do not track children or profile them.

We do not record the child's voice. The "your turn" pauses in Speak English only wait; nothing is listened to or recorded.

Where it is kept, and how it is protected

The data is kept with Google Firebase (Google Cloud), which may store it on servers outside India. It is sent only over encrypted connections, and access rules on Google's servers allow each person to reach only what is theirs, as described above.

How long we keep it

Your choices, and deleting your account

The app's permissions

The Android app uses the internet, to sign in, and the phone's text-to-speech voice. On older phones (Android 9 and before) it asks to save pictures in Pictures › Drawme. It uses no camera, microphone or location.

Questions and complaints

For any question or complaint about privacy, write to our grievance officer at yourapps.in@gmail.com. If we change this policy, we will update the date above.
